Sunrise

My favorite time of day is sunrise. Today found me at the North Ogden pool where I swam into the sunrise. Strangely, I've never done that before. I had the pool all to myself (and a couple of seagulls on the fence who seemed disgruntled). Though I rested often, I swam for 45 minutes, watching the light slide across a few clouds until, reaching under them, it set Mt. Ben Lomond's snow on fire. Then the light rose above the clouds, and Ben Lomond went back to sleep. I don't have the vocabulary to describe the colors. I felt so alive. However, I learned, again, that atrophy is a terrible thing. They say a storm is coming in tomorrow. I've never had the joy of swimming in a storm before, either. If they'll stay open, I gotta try it.

Beautiful picture/painting. It keeps getting better every time I see it.

I like sunrises too. I probably got it from you. Else, I don't think I would have ever woken up early enough to ever see one. I don't have any way to proof it, but sunrises and even sunsets feel to me to go largely unnoticed. Some people are more aware of their surroundings than others. I, of course, call it being geographically or visually minded.

Swimming in the rain? Won't you get wet?

Thanks for sharing! I've never swam to the sunrise, either.
